What Is Colortion?

Colortion is a free, open-access color palette resource built for designers, developers, illustrators, interior decorators, and anyone who works with color professionally or creatively. Our goal is simple: make it effortless to find, copy, and use beautiful color combinations — without paywalls, accounts, or limitations.

Every palette on Colortion has been curated with care. We consider the visual harmony between colors, the emotional response they evoke, and the real-world contexts where they work best — from branding and web design to wedding décor and interior styling.

Why We Built This

Color is one of the most powerful tools in a designer's toolkit, yet finding the right combination has always felt harder than it should be. Existing tools either lock palettes behind subscriptions, generate randomized results without any aesthetic sensibility, or provide technical data without any design context.

Colortion was built to fill that gap. Every palette comes with a description of its mood, its best use cases, and guidance on how to apply the 60-30-10 rule effectively. Every color page shows you not just the hex code but also which palettes use it and which other colors pair with it naturally.

We believe good design tools should be accessible to everyone — from the student working on their first portfolio project to the senior designer crafting a Fortune 500 brand identity. Colortion is and always will be free to use.
